The first impression as well as the last one is the key for a successful interview.
Afirm friendly handshake is a plus.
Eye contact convey trust and confidentiality but it should not be overdone
No crossing arms that marks defensiveness
Avoid nervousness signs such as locking ankles, fidgeting, playing with hair, biting nailsrubbing eyes or nose
Even if you really feel anxious and nervous and would rather be somewhere else, try to look confident, enthusiastic and capable of rising to the challenge-a limp hand shake suggests a weak personality
Touching Fingertips Together conveys a sense of authority
Do not show boredom signs such as feet tapping, looking down, slouching, head resting in hands
Smile with open lips and tilt your head slightly to show that you are attentive
Try to be friendly without being over-familiar.
Dont smoke even if you are offered a cigarette
You can put the interviewer at ease and make yourself seem more like them by mirroring their communication style.
Do not chew gums or candies during an interview.
Never lie at interview or say something that you cannot substantiate.

No matter how reasonable your complaints, never say negative things about your current or past employers.

Try to avoid Yes and No answers to questions even if they seem appropriate. Make sure that you answer questions fully without chattering on unnecessarily.

When you are asked if you have any questions, demonstrate your interest and enthusiasm with questions about training, other people you will be working with, and the job specification. Save questions about pay and holidays until last.

If you are not asked about something which you feel important to know, dont be afraid to bring it up yourself at the end of the interview

Make sure that you find out when you can expect to hear whether you have been successful or not.

Unless they have specified otherwise, If you do not hear within this time If you were not successful, telephone the organization and enquire politely whether a decision has been reached.
